Description
Glove box handling of radioactive waste. Nuclear technician using a glove boxe to handle low-level radioactive waste. The radioactive materials have been dissolved and diluted to low concentrations to allow the work to be carried out in a glove box, rather than a thick double-walled concrete lead-lined unit. The technician is wearing a dosimeter (front pocket) to monitor his level of exposure to radiation. Photographed at the French nuclear research centre at Fontenay-aux-Roses, France.
